In The Name Of Honor

Alright, I had no wifi for the last 2 months so I wasn’t able to post any entry here… this was written after the Iraqi media exploded due to the death “killing” of that Iraqi girl who her killer was forgiven as it was considered as an honor crime!!

According to the Iraqi constitution, Section Two “Rights and Liberties”, Chapter One: Civil and Political Rights, Article 14: Iraqi’s are equal before the law without discrimination.
While if you read the Death penalty, Article 409: it will say if you find your wife in bed with another man you can kill her and only spend three years in jail.
Oops *reality slap over here between your civil rights as an individual and death penalty that gives “honor crimes” killers soft sentences! In some cases ‘most of the time’ killers would be forgiven because obviously honor killing is something completely normal and understandable act not only in Iraq but in the middle east in general.

The Cold Worm Winter – 2013

When I remember 2013,  I see it as in two parts.. The first part is when I was still living in Syria, in year 7. While the other half is when I left everyone without saying goodbye and came here. I’ll be talking about my first part.. Because it plays such a big role on my life..
It was cold, very cold like freezing. The entire city was wearing its white dress from all the snow ❄ that was covering it. 2013 just started, to be more specific it was new years eve. I was wearing red and white knitted jumper, older sister was wearing dark green shirt, younger sister was wearing a  purple coat, mum was wearing a red coat and dad as heaps of layers. We brought a cake and went to celebrate it with our close friends who lived across the street..  They were and still like my family, even closer than my family. I started 2013 sounded with love and with hopes something will finally change. Continue reading “The Cold Worm Winter – 2013”

To my Saturday school family

ALERT! This Going To Be a Long Post

On Saturday the 24.09.2016 was my Saturday school Graduation. Which means no more Arabic school. It was a very emotional day for me, it’s hard knowing that I’ll wake up every Saturday from now on and not needing to go to Saturday school nor seeing any of my classmates or teacher. I loved my Arabic class a lot, they are my family.. even closer than family to me.

My Arabic class was like my family all of us considered our teacher as our second mother. She was the most kind, loving and caring human. She was so humble and simple person when we asked her what are doing with family this year on Eid / 3eed she said I’ll go with my children and husband to foster house just like every Eid. ❤

My classmates.. they all have their own different personality that makes each one of them special to me. We all are from different nationalities. We have one girl from Kuwait,  two Lebanese, two Egyptian, two Jordanian, four Syrian and seven Iraqi’s including myself. I’ll tell you how we are divided in my class. Missing years of educating

I have missed few schooling years due to the war in Iraq.. the first time was in 2006 when we moved to Syria. We received threats, therefore my sister and I left school for a year. Then we moved to Syria.

I guess it is normal for all of us Iraq’s the fact that we missed few schooling years here and there, I mean to think about it is not a big deal at all. I used get upset for being the oldest in my class at the start it was difficult to make any friendships, but then things stared to get easier.

I studied up to year 7 in Syria then i came here. Most of my good friends in Syria that am still in touch with, actually younger than me.. they were born in 2000! But they are the ones I go to when I’m having a bad day.. While my time with them, I saw how they got a big  mind and their own independent opinions, but of course they are underestimated by adults. War On Terror: Was it a fair war?

2003: we will free Iraqi people from Saddam “that what they said ”
We will send our army to fight for you “that what they said”
We will take Saddam down & “that what they said” 🙂
more and more of this bullshit.. And ya ofc the news/ media has supported that! “America has sent their defence force to free the Iraqi people from the criminal Saddam) =)
“Yes we can’t deny Saddam wasn’t the best president for Iraq,”But was it really for our best? Continue reading “War On Terror: Was it a fair war?”

we should consider giving ISIS a Nobel Peace Prize..

Few reasons why we should consider giving  ISIS/  Da3eesh a Nobel peace prize or actually make them part of the  UN:

1) Lehi group:
*they have assassinated the British minister “Lord Moyne” in 1944 during his time in Egypt,
*they have assassinated the Mediator of the UN in 1948 at  Jerusalem,

2)  Irgun group:
*they bombed King David Hotel in Jerusalem,
*they were part of the Deir Yassin massacre,
*One of there leaders became the Prime Minister and got a Nobel peace prize !

3) Haganah and Palmach group:
*they were part of the displacement of Palestinians 1948,
*besides that they kept assassinating/ targeting others whom out of their borders,
*two of their leaders as well got Nobel peace prize!

That’s just small part of what this groups has done throughout the history. These groups latter on formed the Israeli army, and a few months ago Israel became one of the “head’s of the Legal Committee” in the UN.. and let’s not forget the classic idea of building a wall!

Karada Booming 3rd of July 2016

For the last week, I been chocked, confused and lost, I cried as I felt the agony for those young men who died in the Karada booming! I couldn’t put my words together, my thoughts  were all over the place, I couldn’t sleep or think probably.

Just how did that happen?!
Is it for real?! Is what happening right now for real? or is it just a dram?!

“Please.. please tell me it’s a dream, this can not be happening now! at least not in the last days of the holy month of Ramadan just few days before Eid Al-Fitr ..!!” Continue reading “Karada Booming 3rd of July 2016”
